Begin being still

Good conversation

Is what I look for each day

Begin being still

This helps me become aware

Of a larger loving voice

I’ve discovered that my eyes

Are the windows to my heart

My mind will give direction

In the “morning watch”

Temptations will come

To take advantage of me

So I’ll guard my eyes

I’ll choose the focus

Many voices are calling

Anxiety knocks

Fear of the future

And the many ways harm comes

Can rob me of the now

“As iron sharpens iron”

We each sharpen the other

Let us consider

And look for the perspective

That is the reality

Where are you focusing now?

    Terry,

I love reading your thoughts. So many of them hit very close to home. I sent you a few (short) prayers by way of your church email, but I don’t know if you got them or not. No need to comment, but I wanted to be sure they reached you.

Cindy, Thank you for your comments. I will look forward to praying your prayers. Sara, (www.spacious4him.wordpress.com), my daughter set this blog up for my poems and I am thankful for the joy of reconnecting with you more often. We just got back from a trip and I have not been to the office yet.

  2. Thank you sir, for your all so wise
and God filled words… one thing is for sure,
Your Story has certainly mattered in my God seeking heart.. Please know that, although no doubt, you have touched many people with your wisdom and willingness to share, I am one, whom you have touched, and you sir are definitely in my prayers.
    GOD BLESS
    paul
